For barbershops
A barber app for short slots, busy chairs and walk-ins
Uply Meet is a barber app for taking online bookings: clients pick their barber, a cut and a time from one link, walk-ins you add by hand block the chair online at once, and every client gets a reminder email before their slot.
Clients do not install anything. Your booking page opens in the browser, so the same link works from your Instagram bio, your Google profile or a QR code taped to the mirror.

A booking page built for quick cuts
Barbershop menus are short and slots are tight, so every cut sits on one screen with its length and price. Clients choose a barber by name, or any available barber when they just want the next free chair, and then pick a time.
Lengths work in 5 minute steps. A 15 minute beard trim or a 20 minute kids cut fits exactly where it should instead of swallowing a full half hour.

Walk-ins and online bookings in the same chair
Most shops take both. When someone walks in, add them to the barber's calendar from the dashboard on your phone; that time disappears from the booking page straight away, so nobody online can grab the same chair. If a barber needs to step out, block the time the same way.
Underneath, every booking is checked by the database itself. Two bookings that overlap for the same barber cannot both be saved, even when they arrive in the same second, so a walk-in and an online client never end up sharing a slot. The rule is a PostgreSQL exclusion constraint, the mechanism the PostgreSQL documentation describes for reservations that must not overlap.
Your booking page lives at its own address on uplymeet.com and comes with a QR code you can print for the window or the counter.
Short slots without dead time
A fade takes longer than a lineup, and a cut with a beard takes longer still. Each service has its own length and its own clean-up buffer, so a 45 minute skin fade gets 5 minutes to sweep up and sanitize the clippers, while a 15 minute beard trim stays a 15 minute job.
Minimum notice controls how close to now a client can book. It starts at 2 hours, and you can change it in your settings: lower it if you like late same-day bookings, raise it if you hate surprises. You also choose how far ahead the calendar opens, which starts at 60 days.
Every barber with their own chair and hours
On the Studio plan each barber is a bookable calendar with their own working days, lunch break and time off, shown in their own color. Regulars can book the barber they always see, and new faces can take whoever is free.
The day view puts each barber in a column, so whoever is on the front can see at a glance who is free at 3 pm. The week view helps when you plan the rota or a barber asks for a Saturday off.
Barbering is largely a self-employed trade: the US Bureau of Labor Statistics counts about 75,800 barber jobs in 2025, with 80% of barbers self-employed (BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook). That is why Free and Pro are built around one chair, and Studio only starts when a second barber joins.
Reminders for the slot that always goes missing
Barbers describe the pattern well. One wrote on Reddit that a no-show is "always the biggest, most expensive appointment of the day" (r/Barber). Clients forget, or feel awkward cancelling.
Every Uply Meet booking sends an appointment reminder by email 24 hours and 2 hours before the cut, with a link to reschedule. Clients who can move a slot themselves do not have to call you to do it, and the freed chair goes straight back on your page.
Your own link instead of a marketplace
Some barbers say it plainly: "I don't want people to have to download an app just to book with me" (r/Barber).
Booksy, a popular platform with barbers, lists $29.99 per month plus $20 per month for each extra team member, and its optional Boost feature charges a one-time 30% of a Boost client's first visit, up to $100 (biz.booksy.com/pricing, prices checked October 25, 2026). Uply Meet charges no commission at all, and Studio billing stops at 4 barbers per location. Read the full booksy alternative comparison before you switch.

Barbershops: questions and answers
Can clients choose their barber?
Yes. Clients can pick a barber by name or choose any available barber. On the Studio plan each barber has their own hours, breaks and days off.
How do I handle walk-ins?
Add the walk-in to the barber's calendar from the dashboard. The time is removed from your booking page immediately, and an online client can never be booked over it.
Do clients need to download an app?
No. Clients book in their phone browser from your link or QR code. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
Can I take deposits or card payments?
Not yet. Uply Meet does not process payments, and prices on your page are for display. Deposits are planned and marked Coming soon.
Does Uply Meet charge a commission on new clients?
No. You pay a flat plan price. There is no marketplace and no fee per client, whether they found you on Instagram, on Google or through the QR code in your window.
Can I stop same-day bookings?
Yes. Raise the minimum notice, for example to 24 hours, and the booking page stops offering times inside that window.
