No monthly booking cap on Free
Setmore lists unlimited appointments on its free plan. Uply Meet Free stops taking new online bookings after 100 in a calendar month; existing bookings, reminders and bookings you add by hand keep working.
Text reminders on Pro
Setmore Pro adds text reminders and multiple reminders. Uply Meet does not send text messages at all.

Uply Meet Free sends a reminder 24 hours before and another 2 hours before every booking. On Setmore Free, multiple reminders are a Pro feature. Research on clinic reminders found that multiple notifications improved attendance more than a single one.

What the page does not show is a monthly-billing price for Pro. If you want to pay month by month, check the current number in your Setmore account before comparing. Setmore free online scheduling and Uply Meet Free are aimed at slightly different people. Setmore's free plan suits a small team that wants everyone bookable at no cost and can live with one reminder per booking. Uply Meet's free plan suits one practitioner who wants a booking page, a confirmation with a calendar invite, and two reminders, and who books fewer than 100 clients online in a month.
Neither is the only option. Some tools have no free plan at all (Acuity, Vagaro, Booksy and Fresha each list a trial instead), so a free plan of any kind is a real advantage for a new business.
